Sleep Good “Skyclimber”

“Schlitterbahn”
“Shoney’s”

Coming out very soon (June 15 digitally, August 24 LP & CD) is the new full length from Sleep Good.  Formerly just a moniker for Will Patterson‘s solo recordings, the band has now evolved into a full band, a couple of which also play with will in Bill Baird’s Sunset.  Check out the super summery “Schlitterbahn” and the goofy power pop “Shoney’s” from the LP above.

The band will be on tour with Sunset this summer.  A couple of their scheduled dates thus far:

May 22  Austin  Stubbs w/ Brazos, Mark David Ashworth, The Weird Weeds
July 11  NYC  Cakeshop w/ Sunset, Inoculist, The Shivers
July 12  Boston  The Butchershop w/ Sunset, Quilt

If there was one Autobus-related show to attend in the next few months, this is it.  We’ll be bringing together Brazos, Mark David Ashworth, The Weird Weeds, and Sleep Good at Stubb’s for a very friendly and awesome night of music.  This will likely be the last time you have to catch Brazos for a little while and it’s a very rare occurrence to have Mark David Ashworth in our presence.  Both The Weird Weeds and Sleep Good are fresh off of finishing up new albums that you’ll be hearing about very soon.

Thanks to our friends at Covert Curiosity and Do512 who graciously kicked our butts into putting a bill like this together, and also Birds Barbershop who is sponsoring free Lone Star beers for the first hour of the show.

Admission is a very nice local price of $7.  The first 50 people who come with RSVPs from Do512 get in for $5.

Doors to the show will be at 9:00pm (contrary to the poster) and Sleep Good will start things off at 10pm.  You won’t want to miss any of it.

New Sunset Album on the Way. Band Starts a Kickstarter Campaign to Fund Release

Sunset has completed their 5th full-length, entitled Loveshines, but the Moon is Shining Too

In order to fund its release on double-LP and get back on the road (and maybe even overseas) the band has started a Kickstarter campaign with a goal of $4000, a humorous promotional video, and various incentives for giving including digital downloads, the new album shipped to you once it’s prepared, a piece of original artwork, or a show of your very own.

More details on the album to come.  For now, please consider giving.  If 100 people donate at the $40 level, that’s all they need to have a healthy start.  The more people give, the more they’ll be able to do with this album.

Thanks everyone!
